We back protest movements across Southwestern PA.
Three Rivers Action serves to promote "good trouble" events and actions around the Pittsburgh area, such as protests, marches, and sit-ins, for the sake of resisting the USA's dive into far right extremism. We are non-partisan and focused on a simple mission: help restore, improve, and protect our democracy. Most of the events we promote here are hosted by other groups, and we're simply acting as a bulletin board to raise awareness.
On Satuday Aug. 2 from 11am-1pm over a dozen groups will be out protesting scattered around the Greater Pittsburgh area. These protests are at major intersections and overpasses, and you can easily join in without going far:
- At the time of writing this, there were 17 protest locations planned
- Latest list of locations on the POP site or 50501's Instagram
- organized by 50501 Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Overpass Project, but too many orgs to mention are hosting protests as part of this!
